Moto Graphics Care & Maintenance Cheat Sheet

Taking care of your new graphics properly ensures they look sharp and last as long as possible.
Follow these simple steps to keep your graphics looking fresh!

Basic Care Tips:

  • Cleaning:
    • Use caution when wiping mud, as this will scratch, dull, or prematurely wear the surface of your graphics.
    • For best results, rinse thoroughly first and gently wash away any remaining residue with mild soap and water.
    • Hand-wash with mild soap and water using a soft cloth or sponge.
    • Avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals—they can damage or fade graphics.
    • Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft towel or microfiber cloth.
  • Pressure Washer (Optional, USE CAUTION)⚠ :
    • Spray perpendicular (at a right angle) to your graphic.
    • Avoid spraying from an area without graphics onto the edge of the graphic. This prevents water from being forced under the edges, which can cause lifting or peeling.
    • Spraying directly on the graphic and allowing water to flow across and over the edge is acceptable, as it allows water to shed naturally without lifting the graphic.
    • When in Doubt, DO NOT USE a Pressure Washer!

⚠️ If Graphics Start to Peel or Lift:

  • Immediate Action:
    • Use moderate heat to reactivate adhesive and press with moderate force to reapply.
    • Attempt to carefully press the graphic back down immediately.
    • If the graphic no longer adheres, cut away the lifted portion at the point where the adhesive is still intact.
    • Removing dirty, lifted edges prevents further peeling and protects the rest of your graphic.

🚫 Avoid the Following:

  • Gasoline, brake cleaner, or solvents—these will degrade adhesive and graphics.
  • Direct spraying under graphic edges when cleaning.
  • Scrubbing aggressively or using abrasive materials during cleaning.

🌤️ Additional Tips for Longer Life:

  • Garage or Cover: Store your motorcycle in a covered area when possible.
  • Use Protective spray to keep graphics looking new. (Maxima SC1 or similar)
